Borteck Sdn Bhd was established in April 2005 to complement Perkapalan HL (EM) Sdn Bhd by supplying marine and vessels spares to vessels owner/principal. The business principally supply various type of marine spare including spare for vessel engine mainly Mitsubishi and Cummin engine.

The company also supplies dried jellyfish, white charcoal, petroleum product and trade in commodities such as urea, organic fertilizer, timber product as well as providing management services.

To further complement Perkapalan HL (EM) Sdn Bhd, Concrete Teamwork Sdn Bhd was incorporated in 5 January 2005 with 2 units of tugs and barges being utilizes for vessel chartering business. The 2 sets of tugs and barges have the capacity of 10,000MT. The vessels carry mainly bulk cargo such as coal, iron ore, sand and aggregates.

The two sets of vessels was chartered to Middle East by clients to carry aggregates between Qatar, Bahrain and UAE for their various projects.

All the vessels are built under Bureau Veritas (B.V.) classifications.

In view of the high demand for tugs and barges, Tropical Ray Sdn Bhd was set up in 9 March 2005 to further penetrate into the shipping market with a unit of tug and barge in utilization. The initial unit in utilization has capacity of 4,000MT and main trading between Malaysia and Indonesia carrying coal and general cargoes such as machineries, steel structures and other bulk cargo.

Additionally, 1 more newly build tug and barge of 12,000MT capacities has been delivered in July 2009.

All the sets are built under Nippon Kaji Kyokai (N.K.) and Bureau Veritas (B.V.) classification.
